We’re gearing up for the ultimate professional football game this weekend. And we’ve got to fuel up with some incredible tailgate foods.

After all, what good is watching a game without something delicious to eat?

Here’s one of my faves: Kansas City Style Tailgating.

What does that mean? All food is – what else? – KC style!

Start with some Kansas City strip steaks (seasoned with a Kansas City rub).

Or, perhaps some KC cheesesteaks. What makes these different than Philly cheesesteaks, you ask? Well, they’re from Kansas City, of course!

Add some pit beans – Kansas City style – and you’ve got a rootin’ tootin’ KC-themed tailgate party.

Beef and tailgating, well, they just go together. And – lucky us – both are in season!

Take this First-and-Goal Flank Steak (above), for instance. It’s got the yum factor as well as the wow factor. You can see its beefy recipe here.

That will certainly feed a crowd!

Next, you can serve Hail Mary Meatloaf. I mean, who doesn’t like meatloaf? Very satisfying – especially as temperatures begin to drop.

But my favorite is any Kansas City beef – steaks,  burgers, dogs, everything! Throw them on a portable grill and you’re good!
