Holiday Gift Guide – Gifts for Her

Is it tough to come up with dynamic gifts for the ones you love?

Trying to figure out what to get that special lady this year?

As a female myself I KNOW I would love these gifts for her:

1. Filet Mignon (with bacon, please)

2. Beef Wellington (I’m in charge of cooking for my family and I can just pop these in the oven and they’re done!)

3. Anything that’s Heat & Serve (ham? yes! sides like twice-baked potatoes? double yes!)

The way to a woman’s heart is definitely through her stomach. And in my case, steaks are a direct route.

Surprise her with something that says “I know you!” this year and she’ll always be grateful.

Here’s An Idea – Give the Gift of Food!

Boxes With Bows

If you’re like me, you struggle year after year to land on precisely the right gift for everyone on your list.

It’s pretty difficult.

But one thing I’ve found that EVERYONE appreciates?

Good food!

It’s one of the few things we all have in common. We all have to eat.

And a beautiful meal is so memorable. Isn’t that what we’re looking for at holiday time anyway? Incredible memories?

I’m giving things like gift-boxed steaks and holiday meal combos this year. Can you imagine receiving a prime rib roast and smoked ham from someone? Wouldn’t that make your day, your week, your SEASON?

Plus, it’s a pay-it-forward kind of gift. Your recipient then gets to cook those steak gifts for someone else – and that person will surely thank you, too!

‘Tis the season for eating!

T-Bone: I’ll Drink To That!

Tbone_2_Fall2014_lrg

When I’m enjoying a very, hearty, beef cut like a T-bone or a Porterhouse a great wine is a must!

A smooth red blend will do the trick nicely!

I always need help choosing the right wine for my cut of beef so I reference this list of pairing suggestions.

It gives me choices but helps guide me along the way.

Plus, it’s just fun!

My favorite thing is to try them all at different sittings to come up with a winner.

And when I find the right wine, my big, beautiful steak tastes THAT much better!
