Birthday Steak

Yesterday was my birthday. Which one is not important. Okay, it was kinda big.

Anyway, this is what magically appeared at dinnertime . . .

It was like a dream. A gorgeous T-bone always lifts the spirits! Happy birthday to me!

Just thought I’d share a little eye candy with you. The great thing is – you can get one too!

Movers and Steakers

It’s election season. The movers and shakers (or, em steakers) are in full force.

And what meal signals strength, power, skill, plans, confidence?

STEAK.

Yes.

This is a news story about Rick Perry and Rupert Murdoch and the headline focuses on WHAT THEY ATE during a recent meeting.

Why is that important? Why isn’t the headline about what they talked about? Perry’s plan IF HE BECOMES OUR PRESIDENT?

What they ate says something about them. Says something about their meeting. Steak is power.

Interesting.

What if they dined on chicken salad? Nothing wrong with chicken salad. But what message does that send?

Star-Studded Steaks

Like filet mignon?

You’re in good company. That’s what they served the Emmy winners at the Governors Ball after Sunday’s awards ceremony.

Schmancy.

It’s nice to know we all share some ideas about what makes a great celebratory meal. But you don’t have to be a celebrity to enjoy a great steak.

I like to have one when something really great happens in my life. It’s just a way of treating myself and stopping and saying, “Yay! Life is good right now!”

I’d imagine that’s what was happening for the cast of Modern Family and John Krasinski.

So kudos to you all – you deserve that juicy steak!
