Thanksgiving Steak Over Butternut Squash Puree

This time of year always gets me wondering, What do people who don’t love turkey or ham eat at Thanksgiving?

I mean, is it a law you have to have a turkey? What if turkey makes you cringe?

There are people out there like that, you know. You may be related to some of them.

So what do you do?

Well, I think I’ve found the answer.

Steak Over Butternut Squash Puree.

It’s seasonal. It’s gorgeous. And it’s steak, for goodness sake. You can’t go wrong.

It’s a Beef Stroganoff Kinda Day!

It’s starting to get cold here. And when that happens, I always want hearty meals that keep me warm – and take my mind off the fact that it’s freezing outside!

Beef Stroganoff is one of my favorite cold weather meals. Yummy beef with beautiful noodles in a tasty sauce is so, so satisfying.

Click here for a great Stroganoff recipe for your next chilly day meal. And here’s a hint:  Make an extra batch for leftovers!!!

Halloween: Grilled Anti-Vampire Steaks

Today is one of those days where you don’t want to get tangled up with a vampire.

It’s Halloween, man!

So to protect us against those nasty neck-biters, here’s a recipe with lots of garlic – you know, ’cause they hate garlic.

Grilled Anti-Vampire Steak – Halloween Recipe

Prep Time: 8 hours, 15 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 8 hours, 35 minutes
Ingredients:
  • 1 Bottle of Zesty Italian Dressing
  • 4 Cloves of fresh garlic; crushed
  • 1 or 2 Grilling steaks
Preparation:
To make the marinade mix together the dressing and garlic. Marinade the steaks in the refrigerator for 8 hours. Remove the steaks from the marinade and grill to your liking, for me it’s medium-well.

Click here to see the entire recipe in all its glory. And have a safe and vampire-free Halloween. . . muahahahahahhhahahahhhhaaaaa!!!!
