Cook You a Steak?

Do you ever feel this way?

I pretty much feel this way every time we have steak. My husband is so much better at it and, well, I’m really the marinader and eater.

Not the cook.

That doesn’t make me a bad person, right?

I’ve just got the flavor, not the magic touch on the flames.

So, tell me, are YOU the cook or the cleaner-upper?

Either way, you’re among friends here.

Celebrate Beef Hot Dogs

This month is National Hot Dog Month! And I love hot dogs, BUT they have to be all-beef hot dogs.

For a beef girl there is absolutely no substitute.

Luckily, all-beef hot dogs are in large supply. And I will be celebrating them this month (i.e. EATING them).

I’m pretty non-adventurous when it comes to slathering on interesting toppings. But apparently people get really into dressing their dogs up with cra-zay things. I like that. I wish I were more like that.

Here’s some toppings I never would have thought of in a million years…

Mango Salsa

Kimchi

Potato Chips (crushed, of course)

Mac ‘n Cheese

There are others and you can read all about these crazy hot dog toppings here.

But why not think of your own?

Like spicy hot things? Wasabi. M&Ms? Sure.

There’s an endless creativity involved here and it’s pretty fun. The best thing? You get to eat it!

Have fun creating YOUR perfect dog!

Kansas City Prime Steak Chips

Okay, all you steak lovers. Anybody tried these yet?

I mean, I love steak, but I’m not sure my palate is ready for this monstrosity.

I have seen the reviews on these steak-flavored chips and, well, they aren’t good.

Junk Food Guy” says simply, “Fail.”

There’s just nothing meaty about them. You can slap a photo of a great-looking steak on the bag but that doesn’t mean those chips are going to taste like it.

Try ’em yourself and let me know as a true steak lover what YOU think.

Me? I’ll stick to the real thing, thank you!
