Epic Face-Off: Burger Vs. Hot Dog

As these football playoffs continue, my mind is always on food. I like to eat while watching games – well, and while doing basically anything.

It reminds me of another epic battle:  The one between burgers and dogs.

There are voracious supporters in either camp, but which one is the real winner?

Well, whoever gets to eat it, is what I say!!!!

The ones I like – burgers AND dogs – are all made with beef. So, to me, everyone wins.

But in this poll, burgers were the clear winner in preference.

So what’s your vote? Burgers or hot dogs?

Celebrate Beef Hot Dogs

This month is National Hot Dog Month! And I love hot dogs, BUT they have to be all-beef hot dogs.

For a beef girl there is absolutely no substitute.

Luckily, all-beef hot dogs are in large supply. And I will be celebrating them this month (i.e. EATING them).

I’m pretty non-adventurous when it comes to slathering on interesting toppings. But apparently people get really into dressing their dogs up with cra-zay things. I like that. I wish I were more like that.

Here’s some toppings I never would have thought of in a million years…

Mango Salsa

Kimchi

Potato Chips (crushed, of course)

Mac ‘n Cheese

There are others and you can read all about these crazy hot dog toppings here.

But why not think of your own?

Like spicy hot things? Wasabi. M&Ms? Sure.

There’s an endless creativity involved here and it’s pretty fun. The best thing? You get to eat it!

Have fun creating YOUR perfect dog!

Oh, Beautiful Hot Dog

I just found out that July is National Hot Dog Month.

Where have I been? It’s almost the middle of July and I’m just now finding this out?

MY fave dogs are all-beef hot dogs. It’s just how I roll. The flavor is outstanding and these are my pick for “Top Dog.”

How about you? Are you a hot dog fan? Will you be celebrating all month long?

July is just full of celebrations, isn’t it?
