Tangy n Sweet Sauce

Tangy n Sweet Sauce

Ingredients:
3/4 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup ketchup
2 Tablespoons sugar
2 Tablespoons Worcestershire
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon paprika
1/4 cup chopped sun dried tomatoes; packed in oil
1/4 cup minced red onion

Directions:
Mix all the ingredients together; put into a saucepan and cook over medium heat for 30 minutes.  Stirring occasionally.

Java Lava BBQ Sauce

Java Lava BBQ Sauce

Ingredients:
1/2 cup very strong black coffee, espresso preferred
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
1/2 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
1 onion, peeled and chopped – about 1 cup
2 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
2 tablespoons dark molasses
3 fresh hot chili peppers, such as jalapeno, or hotter if desired, seeded (about 2 ounces or 4 to 5 tablespoons)
2 tablespoons Dijon
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons ground cumin seed
2 tablespoons ancho chili powder

Directions:  Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes.  Cool, then puree in a blender or food processor until smooth and strain.  Sauce can be stored in the refrigerator in a covered container.

Black Jack Barbecue Sauce

Black Jack Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients:
1 cup strong black coffee
1 cup minced onion
1/4 cup melted butter
1 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 cup tomato sauce
6 cloves garlic, pureed
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
3 tablespoons chili powder
2 tablespoons wasabi powder
3 jalapeno peppers, seeded, ribbed
2 teaspoons salt

Directions:
Saute; onions and garlic in butter in a large saucepan.  Do not brown.  Add remaining ingredients.  Bring to a boil.  Turn down heat and simmer for 30 minutes.  Makes 5 cups.
