Romantic Dinners for Two

The most romantic day of the year is coming up! Thinking about romantic dinners for two at home? Me too!

Romantic Dinners for Two

For Valentine’s Day, you can’t go wrong with a dinner of tender, succulent filet mignons. They’re fork tender – like your love!

Beef Wellington

Looking for something more hearty? Try cooking some Beef Wellingtons. The flaky pastry crust gets me every time. I’m a sucker for this all-in-one meal. It’s delicious!

Porterhouse Gifts Better Than Candy

Now, if you are showering affection on a man this Valentine’s Day, statistics show (okay, my life experience, really) that a manly T-bone steak says, “I love you” like nothing else.

Seriously, the way to ANYONE’s heart is through the stomach!

Romantic Meal Ideas

Romantic Meal Ideas

February is a month to be romantic. We’ve got Valentine’s Day coming up and it’s still cold outside so it’s pretty conducive to snuggling!

But – man or woman – nothing says romance like a romantic dinner.

One of my all-time favorite romantic meal ideas is a couple of filet mignons, whipped potatoes, side salad and a delicious red wine.

That’s a lighter option. If you want something hearty that’ll warm you both up, mouth-watering Beef Wellington is an excellent choice. And… as a bonus, this is a heat and serve gourmet meal. Just pop ‘em in the oven and serve on some lovely china! The flaky pastry crust makes this dish so unique!

Now, if you REALLY want to impress your sweetie, Chateaubriand is the way to go. A gorgeous roast simmering in the oven is one of my favorite aromas. It creates an ambience that’s so important for setting a romantic stage.

Plus, it’s tender and juicy, and, well, it’s French. It just seems more romantic if it’s French.

So, what will you feed your sweetheart? These romantic meal ideas are in themselves a gesture of love. And that speaks volumes!

Those Glorious Christmas Leftovers

It’s that time!

Leftover time!

The holiday dishes have all been put away, but there’s a delicious reminder in the fridge of all that merriment and cheer.

It’s turkey and Chateaubriand and prime rib roast and spiral ham all tucked in their Tupperware beds. Just waiting to be called upon for the Leftover Parade.

There are two ways to go about this.

One: Reheat and serve.

I’m partial to this one because I’m usually exhausted.

-OR-

Two: Repurpose those leftovers into equally dazzling second meals.

My sister-in-law Chef Sandy is a master at this.

Roast turkey becomes turkey soup, turkey stew, turkey enchiladas.

Spiral ham becomes ham omelettes and ham soup.

Chateaubriand? Why, beef sliders, of course!

What are your favorite leftover ideas? Time to whip them up!
