Blackened Steak Seasoning
Makes enough for 4 Steaks
1 T. Paprika
2 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Onion Powder
1 tsp. Garlic Powder
1 tsp. Cayenne Pepper
1 tsp. White Pepper
1 tsp. Black Pepper
½ tsp. Dried Thyme
½ tsp. Dried Oregano
Mix together all ingredients, blend thoroughly.
Coat both sides of steaks lightly with olive oil,
then dredge steaks in the seasoning. Grill steaks
until surface is dark (blackened) on both sides,
over high, direct heat. When steaks are blackened,
move them to indirect heat to finish grilling to
desired doneness.

The rub was awesome, my husband loved it!! (Yes, I did the grilling for a change!). It was spicy and blackened up to perfection. I don’t have any suggestions or changes. It was THAT good. I will DEFINITELY be making this again. Thanks for the recipe!

This seasoning was fantastic! The only thing that I added was some crushed Basil. Other than that, it’s an excellent seasoning. Highly Recommended!

This is not a classic “Blackened Steak” made famous by Paul Prudhomme of New Orleans. A Blackened Steak should be prepared in a cast iron skillet.
That being said I’m off to the store to try this due to all of the rave reviews. Hopefully I remember to return and give my review and possibly a name change to this recipe.
